Equipment inspections for snow removal contractors
For snow removal contractors
Plow routes are won or lost before the first flake. A truck with a bad hose or a dead plow light that nobody caught costs you a route, and sometimes a contract.
Before the storm
Every plow truck, loader and skid steer gets a short checklist: plow mount and pins, cutting edge, hydraulics, lights, spreader, brakes and tires. Drivers scan the sticker and tap through it in about a minute.
During the season
Equipment gets used hard and at odd hours. When a driver fails a safety item, you get an email at once, so you can send another truck instead of finding out at the route.
After each shift
Drivers report new damage with photos, so you can see whether that bent moldboard was there before the last shift. Maintenance is tracked by hours, so oil changes and greasing do not slip in a busy month.
What it costs
Plans start at $39 a month for up to 5 machines, and operators never pay. The first 14 days are free and need no card. Set-up takes about 10 minutes: add your machines, print the stickers, and put them on.
